Abstrak

Modules are a way of organizing subject matter that takes into account the educational
function. The strategy for organizing learning material contains sequencing which refers
to creating a sequence of presenting subject matter, and synthesizing which refers to an
effort to show learners the relationship between facts, concepts, procedures and
principles contained in the learning material. Currently, technology and information are
developing rapidly in the current of globalization which affects methods and techniques
and is a challenge in the implementation of the teaching and learning process. Teaching
media innovation is an important component in the teaching and learning process. The
objective of this study is to design, develop and validate an IPA learning media named
IPA Learning Module. The teaching media produced in this study is in the form of
modules. In this study, 2 experts, 2 IPA subject teachers and 10 elementary school
students were involved. This study uses a survey method, the instrument in this study is a
questionnaire to assess IPA modules. This study shows that IPA teaching modules can be
maintained and used in the teaching and learning process in IPA learning. It is hoped
that with the existence of this teaching module assessment instrument, it can produce
portal teaching modules and IPA modules that are effective in innovative and efficient
teaching and learning. This study was conducted according to the survey method using a
questionnaire to collect the information needed to provide a description of the assessment
of aspects used in evaluating an innovative and efficient teaching media. In this study, 2
lecturers, 5 IPA subject teachers and 30 elementary school students in Riau were
involved. The sample was selected through purposive sampling to select excellent schools
that have technology and information facilities, and the school level and location to
facilitate the application of the media developed by the researcher.
