Abstrak

Tafsir education or tafsir tarbawi was born to fulfill academic needs in the context of enriching the local curriculum or National curriculum at PTAI, with the hope that the tarbiyah department is expected to be able to prepare prospective educators in the area of Islamic education. Therefore, in order for Islamic education to be able to color the profession held by educators in a professional manner, namely towards Islamic education which is able to return the educational paradigm to the basic sources of Islamic teachings, namely the Koran and Hadith, the discipline of interpretation was born as an alternative study that has a relationship with education in the future. called. Then what arises is whether this is considered an independent scientific discipline or is it just a method of approach or more specifically a style or model of interpretation that is conditioned by the needs of educational interpretation that does not yet have proportional tools, methods and approaches, as befits a scientific discipline of interpretation. The term new educational interpretation is a discourse and manifestation of ijtihad of academics who care about Islamic education to meet academic needs in order to perfect the curriculum in higher education. So it is a bit difficult to position educational interpretation as part of the study of interpretation which is already considered established, especially when compared with other interpretations.
